Dizal Pharma has signed an exclusive global licensing agreement with AstraZeneca for sunvozertinib (ZEGFROVY®), in a deal worth up to US$1.5 billion. Under the agreement, AstraZeneca will obtain exclusive worldwide rights to develop and commercialize the EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI). Dizal is eligible to receive a US$600 million upfront payment, up to US$400 million in development milestone payments, up to US$500 million in sales milestones, as well as tiered royalties based on global net sales.

Sunvozertinib is an oral, irreversible, highly selective EGFR TKI targeting multiple EGFR mutation subtypes. It has been approved in both China and the U.S. for the treatment of patients with locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) harboring EGFR exon20 insertion (EGFR exon20ins) mutations following platinum-based chemotherapy. The therapy has also demonstrated promising efficacy as a first-line treatment in the global Phase III WU-KONG28 trial, with results presented as a Late-Breaking Abstract at the 2026 ASCO Annual Meeting and simultaneously published in The New England Journal of Medicine.

The partnership is expected to significantly accelerate the global development and commercialization of sunvozertinib by leveraging AstraZeneca's worldwide development and commercial capabilities. For Dizal, the agreement strengthens its global expansion strategy, enhances financial flexibility, and provides additional resources to advance its innovative oncology pipeline while addressing significant unmet medical needs.
