Sonosemi Raises Series B+ Financing to Accelerate Global Expansion in Intelligent Vascular Intervention
15 July 2026
Sonosemi has recently completed a multi-million RMB Series B+ financing round, led by Alwin Capital and Eight Roads Ventures, with continued participation from existing investors including Furong Capital. The new funding will support the company’s innovation pipeline, regulatory approvals, supply chain development, commercialization efforts, and clinical adoption.
Founded in 2020, Sonosemi is a medical technology company specializing in active vascular intervention solutions. The company focuses on developing intelligent diagnostic and therapeutic technologies for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, including coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, structural heart disease, heart failure, and neurovascular conditions.
Built around its dual technology platforms of intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) and intravascular imaging, Sonosemi is developing an integrated vascular intervention ecosystem that covers disease assessment, procedural guidance, and treatment optimization. The company has established comprehensive capabilities across core components, medical devices, and software systems, supported by a growing intellectual property portfolio and multiple innovative products in development.
Sonosemi’s flagship coronary intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) system received NMPA approval in 2023, becoming one of China’s first domestically developed IVL solutions for treating complex calcified coronary lesions. By leveraging proprietary technologies, the system helps physicians safely modify calcified plaques and improve treatment outcomes in challenging PCI procedures.
The company has continued to expand its product portfolio, including peripheral IVL systems, coronary scoring balloons, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), and intracardiac echocardiography (ICE) solutions. Through its “treatment + imaging” technology strategy, Sonosemi aims to provide more comprehensive and precise solutions for complex vascular diseases.
In terms of commercialization, Sonosemi has achieved rapid market penetration, with its core products adopted by hundreds of hospitals in China, including leading cardiovascular centers. Meanwhile, the company is accelerating international growth, expanding overseas channels across more than 50 countries and regions, including Southeast Asia and other global markets.
With the latest financing, Sonosemi will further strengthen its technology platforms, accelerate global commercialization, and advance the next generation of smarter, safer, and more precise vascular intervention solutions for healthcare professionals and patients worldwide.
